Since its foundation in 2002, Meating Food Group has made the export market its speciality. Today, we operate across five continents, with trade flows to – and from – Africa, the Maghreb, Asia, the South Pacific, North America, the Caribbean and South America.
Our physical locations in France, the UK, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic enable us to meet our customers’ raw material requirements worldwide.
18 traders who are experts in their respective markets
Today, 93% of our goods flow across national borders: a process expertly managed by our 18 highly specialised traders, each an expert in their own markets. We work as a cross-functional team across our companies. The synergies generated by our strong sense of unity are at the heart of our commercial success.
We manage a range of operations, including customs clearance, import and export clearance, forward foreign exchange transactions, and the management of letters of credit, etc.
Our expertise, responsiveness and in-depth market knowledge open up new opportunities for our suppliers and strengthen our clients’ supply offerings.

Logistics
Mastering road, sea and air transport: these are the prerequisites for effective management of export flows.
Every year, we ship 30% of our volumes by sea, amounting to nearly 250 40-foot reefer containers. The remainder is transported by road, equivalent to 700 lorries. In addition, we occasionally use air freight to deliver ultra-fresh produce to our most remote customers.
Expertise in import and export procedures
To ensure these shipments, we rely on several dedicated logistics platforms (fresh unconsolidated shipments, frozen unconsolidated shipments, frozen consolidated shipments), as well as a network of customs and transit agents.
We handle every aspect of compiling document packages: health certificates, certificates of origin, DUA forms, CMR consignment notes, letters of credit…
The result: a turnkey service to support our business partners worldwide.
Traceability and quality
Our first guarantee of quality: the consistency and the relationship of trust we have built with our suppliers.
Some of them have been working with us for several decades!
We monitor our products closely and pay particular attention to their quality.
That is why we have obtained various certification accreditations: OFG Organic Farmers & Growers (UK Organic), the Soil Association (UK Organic), Ecocert Agriculture Biologique (France), Red Tractor (UK origin) and QS (German quality). We remain actively committed to this approach.
All our supply chains are fully traceable
Our companies are registered on Trace NT. All our supply chains are traceable thanks to our IT systems, which we are constantly updating. Among our developments is EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), which we have implemented with our logistics platforms and several of our suppliers to ensure the security of information exchanges.
